Discussion Group
Can the News be Fixed?
Tuesdays | 12.00-1.15pm | Elm Library
Did the internet break the news or did it simply exacerbate pre-existing problems? How have the changing economics of the news industry altered the way that news is produced and consumed? Is it possible to be generally well-informed about matters of public importance? How can we determine what news sources are trustworthy and what stories we should pay attention to?
A three-part discussion group, open to all Yale students. To sign up or for more information please contact Peter Wicks.
Schedule
1/27 | Did the internet break the news?
