By Nature and by Law: Property, Rights, and Justice

Led by Sherif Girgis (Notre Dame Law School), this seminar will provide an introduction to theories of natural law and their relationship to accounts of the nature of positive law. We will then turn to theories of private property in the natural law tradition and their implications for a variety of contemporary debates concerning the nature of private property, the principles governing property rights, and intellectual property.
The seminar is open to Yale Law Students, and is capped at 14 participants. Interested students should submit their CV to Patrick Hough.
