Political Authority and the Common Good (First Meeting)

  • Elm Institute Library (map)

A reading group about the nature and purpose of political authority, focusing on Thomas Aquinas’ De Regno [On Kingship]. Unlike Aquinas’ Summa Theologica, the treatise On Kingship is rarely studied in depth and those who have done some have come to remarkably different conclusions about its views about political authority and even its authorship.

This reading group is open to all Yale students, undergraduate and graduate, in any discipline. For more information click here.
